Who am I?

My name is Sean Lamb (Flickr ID Slambo_42); I'm currently a C++ programmer in a UNIX/Linux environment during the day and a photographer, model railroader and collector the rest of the time. I'm also the only member of the Center for Photography at Madison that uses open source tools for my photo processing. I have extensive Wiki experience as I am an administrator for the English language Wikipedia.

My photo workflow

I usually shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT. When I get back to the computer after a shoot, I put the CF card into the reader and mount it as a drive through the USB port and then crop and adjust levels with GIMP. Most of what I've done so far is just lightening and adjusting colors, but I've been known to use other plugins and scripts at times (such as the bump map to create the logo for my own website, The Rip Track).
