OSPhoto is mainly about Open Source Software programs for Photography. The project started as a way for member of the Flickr group OSP to share and expand their knowledge about the programs they use on their photographic work.

Our goal is to provide a central repository for photographers that want to use open source software to capture, retrieve, process and manage their digital photographies.

While software is the main subject, open source also expands to other areas, so we'll try to document things like RAW file formats, color management and also the use of cameras, scanners and printers on open source operating systems.
